Abstract

Enhance The Activity of Speaking and Math Skills of Children Through The Medium of Snakes and Ladders. Language and cognitive development of children is necessary grown. So that learning becomes interesting and fun needed instructional media that holds the principle of learning while playing. Media snakes and ladders is a medium transport adapted from a game of snakes and ladders. This game can be used to foster language skills and mathematics children. This research aims to enhance the activity of speaking and improve math skills in children through a simple snakes and ladders media transport. This type of research is a action researh. This research was conducted in TK Pertiwi 1 Getas Tanjunganom Nganjuk District of as many as 25 children. The results showed an increase in the activity of speaking and math skills of children. Improving the ability of the child looks at prasiklus that the average child is capable of 11 children (44%) and an increase in the first cycle the average to 19 children (76%). In the second cycle there was an increase of 16% from the first cycle the average ability of children to 23 children (92%). Based on research conducted it can be concluded that learning by using snakes and ladders media transport can enhance the activity of speaking and simple math skills of children.

Abstract

Application of TPR Method in Learning in Early Childhood. In English language teaching in early childhood education, teachers should be selective and creative in choosing teaching methods, so that students remain happy in their learning. TPR method is one appropriate method to teach English in early childhood, where learning priority to activities directly related to the physical and movement. Research aims to describe the implementation steps TPR method performed by the teacher in learning English in kindergarten Nurul Hikmah Pamekasan, determine the application of TPR method and evaluate the response of children after implementation. form of qualitative descriptive study, data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation. Research results obtained by the three stages of English language teaching and learning activities undertaken by teachers in the classroom, the initial activity, the core and the cover. In the first observation of the students become more active and interested in learning the English language on its core activities, while the second observation results contained in the core activities and cover, children not only know and understand the material that dibahasoleh teacher in the classroom, but they also can practice outside of school. Response resulting from the application of TPR method is children can learn english with a sense of fun, enjoy, do not feel tired, easy to understand and easy to remember and apply it in everyday life.

Abstract

Increase Kinesthetic Intelligence Through Play Activities Circuit With Ball. The purpose of this research was to determine the process of implementation of the circuit with a ball playing in increasing child kinesthetic intelligence in group A in Al Muhajirin Kindegarten Malang and to know the extent to which the results of the increase in child kinesthetic intelligence through a circuit with a ball playing in group A Al Muhajirin Kindegarten Malang.The method used in this research is an action research which refers to the model of a Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consist of four phase: planning, action, observation and reflection. This research consist of two cycles, each cycle consist of 8 times in actions. Analysis of the data used quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed an increase kinesthetic intelligence through circuits with a ball playing activities, it can be proven scoring average pre-action children's kinesthetic intelligence by 32.81%. And then increased in the first cycle by 37.44% to become 70.25%. Furthermore, from the first cycle to the second cycle kinesthetic intelligence of children increased by 17.91% from 70.25% to 88.16%. So the total increase kinesthetic intelligence of children ranging from pre-action, the first cycle to the second cycle is 32.81% 70.25% to 88.16%.

Abstract

The Role of Parents in Improving The Character of Early Childhood Education in The Family. Parents play an important role to develop their potential. parents are educators first and foremost in a family environment, parents need to be aware that the child has great potential at birth. The importance of early childhood education because of the period of child development goes more rapidly. At that time was the right time to lay the foundations of character education in accordance with its development. To achieve this, the required maximum effort from parents to educate children in all aspects of development and enhancing the role of parents as educators in the family. This study aimed to describe the role of parents in improving the character education in early childhood in the family. Research design used in this study is qualitative. the results of this study indicate that: 1) The value-character value given by parents to children in a family environment, among others: parents exercise self-discipline in children, train perseverance, responsible from an early age, an attitude of humility toward others, cultivate governance manners, uphold the values of honesty, love of God with worship familiarize timely; 2) The role of parents in transmitting the character education of children despite not run optimally, but parents continue to strive to improve it; 3) Barriers experienced by parents in implementing character education in the family is heavily influenced by factors outside the home environment.

Abstract

Effect of Stimulation of Emotional Intelligence Training for Kindergarten Teachers Knowledge and Skills in Developing Students Emotional Intelligence. The Structure of the learning program in TK include the development of behavior formation and development of basic capabilities, but in terms of implementation, cognitive aspects are preferred. Emotional aspects are not a major concern when compared with other aspects, so that no matter related to it in the design of everyday activities.  One of the competition required by the teacher TK namely: to understand the stages of child development and the principles of early childhood education. Based on training need assessment conducted by researchers, knowledge and skills of teachers TK less than optimal in providing the stimulation of emotional intelligence. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of training intelligence early childhood stimulation of the knowledge and skills of teachers TK in providing stimulation of emotional intelligence. This type of research is pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest design. Subjects were TK teachers who have been trained on the stimulation of emotional intelligence. Result of studies suggest that stimulation of emotional intelligence training has an influence on kindergarten teachers’ skills in a stimulating early childhood emotional intelligence however, does not give effect to the teacher’s knowledge. Based on the results of data analysis using the wilcoxon signed rank test shows the value of the significance of knowledge the teacher is 0,057, while the significance value of  teacher skills is 0,024.

Abstract

Based on 1945 Basic Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia section 34th said "poor and neglected children maintained by the nation". Non-formal education as one of the pathways of education in Indonesia has the same role in educating the children of the nation, one of which is the presence of learning in an orphanage. Education in orphanages are not only how caregivers transferring of knowledge but broader than that relating to the values and skills for children residents. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Results of the research are: (1) the caregiver role as substitute parents for children orphanage, (2) in shaping attitudes socio emotional orphanage children caregivers use by the way continues in the sense always give advice in a way that is not too hard, but can be received by children, and (3) the constraints in shaping children's socio emotional attitude is when they adapted to the new environment and adjust the schedule in the orphanage. In conclusion caregiver role in shaping attitudes socio emotional orphanage has been very good.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Media Puzzle Snails in Developing The Learning of Mathematics in Early Childhood. Early childhood aged 3-6 years is the period a child who will receive all the stimuli given to him without any hindrance. At that age the child will develop in accordance with what they get. If the child gets positive stimulus child will develop in a positive direction, and vice versa. Early childhood learning with the real thing, the child will be more likely to do than just listen to the words of others. Media snail puzzle is very help children to learn simple math. Through this medium children learn by playing and participating in the game. Children assigned to pair the puzzle pieces in accordance with the sequence of numbers (1-20). The instrument used is by using observation, data collection in the form of descriptive. This observation sheet contains records that describe the learning activities in the classroom. observation sheet format used is the systematic observation sheet-shaped fields to determine the action during the learning process. Results of studies suggest that media puzzle as being effective in the learning of mathematics in early childhood.

Abstract

Use Demonstration Method to Improve Gross Motor Skills of Children Ages Kindergarten. Learning in Kindergarten (TK) is learning that emphasizes play activities while learning and learn while playing. The purpose of this research is to improve gross motor skills kindergarten-age-children  through method demonstration. The study involved 22 kindergarten-age-children from  TK Putra Harapan Desa Kedondong, Kecamatan Kebonsari, Kabupaten Madiun who are in Group A. The study is divided into two cycles, the first cycle through the cat jumps mimicked by using demonstrations, children show a success rate reached 66%. In the second cycle activity mimicked the cat jumps, using the method of demonstration and told the child to demonstrate each one was more to improve gross motor skills. This is evident in the chart success of the children value reached 89%. Thus the demonstration method to improve gross motor skills can be applied to kindergarten-age-children.
